An avid fisherman since youth I came to fly fishing 10 years ago and fell in love with the sport for the ongoing learning experiences and challenges it provides. I am a Certified Casting Instructor with the Federation of Fly Fishers and have had the privilege of teaching hundreds of people the basics of the sport. My favourite haunts are the Bow River, within walking distance of our home, and many of the lakes and rivers of Alberta and Montana.

An extremely fine fly caster Laura provides input on product refinements and is also our chief photographer. Thanks to the annual Federation of Fly Fishers conclave Laura has had the benefit of many hours of instruction from some of the finest fly fishers and fly casters in the world.

My wife of 25 years and the inspiration for WylD Outfitters. After putting up with my fly fishing addiction for several years Susan has recently taken up the sport as well and is well on her way to succumbing to the same addiction.

At WylD we spend countless hours researching, designing, and testing products so that we can bring you the best of the best. So when you see us on the banks of the Bow River or deep in the heart of the Rockies, remember, we're not having fun. We're testing products.

Each year we are forced to spend countless hours testing potential products on the rivers and talking to experts so that we can be sure we are staying one step ahead of the competition. Our staff members have been known work well into the night and on week ends in pursuit of excellence. Such dedication and sacrifice can only be found in those who truly love their work.
